Awkwafina

Awkwafina was initially an American musician and rapper releasing sly tracks that tackled issues such as racial and sexual identities with a funny twist. Prior to her move to Hollywood, she had the opportunity to make a few songs. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was in the form of trumpet. Additionally, she was given classical and jazz training later delving into hip-hop as a teenager. While in school, she concentrated on journalism and woman's studies. She studied Mandarin during a time in Beijing. It wasn't until she graduated that her focus shift to music. After gaining viral fame through the Internet and her own track My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hit tracks including body-positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC BitcheUSD. The latter song was linked directly with another Awkwafina project NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. A musician and author was as her credentials, she began looking for acting in a third project. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors and Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered an array of noteworthy roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
