In the July 2003 edition of Vanity Fair, she was called one of the year's most popular teen stars. In 2004 Vega made two movies, Sleepover in State's Proof and Sleepover. The following year she made her debut in the Lifetime TV movie Odd Girl Out, as an online bullying victim. In 2006, she starred in another made-for-TV movie, Walkout; and finished filming Remember the Daze, which premiered in theaters with a limited release in April 2007. The filming was completed Repo! It was initially planned that Vega would play the leading character in Robert Rodriguez's 2009 film Shorts.
